Dear God, Keep Working on Us!
There is so much going on around us in the world and we get drawn into that mess and get drawn away from what is important. It is on my heart to share the gospel today. It is on my heart to let others know the power of Jesus Christ. I sat through a trial earlier this week with a client and completely saw a situation where the outcome could of been different. I think judges have one of the hardest jobs when it comes to making decisions. I have respect for each and every judge that I see and they have been placed there for an obvious reason. This was not a judge in Sedgwick County or in the City of Wichita. I won’t get into details but I will say that I believe the case strayed away from the defendants favor because he tired to control the situation so much in his favor, that it actually made the case worse on himself. Innocent or Guilty, I don’t know 100%, but I do know that he is beginning to see God’s work in others around him and i do believe God is going to do an amazing work in him.
What is amazing, we got to pray with this client after and talk to him about what had happened and let him know there is but one judge on this earth. His name is Jesus Christ and I just want so badly for him to know the love of Jesus Christ. Only Jesus Christ can go into a court room and stir up a judges heart, only Jesus Christ can change the heart of a District Attorney, and only Jesus Christ can represent you in truth! I have no doubt about the power of God and what he can do in any situation for us if we give it up and let him have control of the situation at hand. I have consistently been trying to talk with this individual and the great thing about it, he has to walk through it and grow. He gets to face it head on and there is no greater excitement then inviting Jesus Christ into his situation and letting him intervene.
God starts a work in our life through some of the most difficult situations where we have to finally call out to him because we can no longer do it on our own. He is such a sovereign, faithful and just God. He allows us to grow through our own selfishness. All of this is so that today, you can maybe open up and put a little bit of faith in Jesus Christ today. Put all of your thoughts too the side and let Jesus Christ into your heart and let the Spirit of God sink in all around you. Seek him with all of your heart and you will find him. He will come to you and deliver you from destruction. No weapon formed against you shall prosper. Jesus Christ is so amazing and if your feeling empty today, he is the only person that can fill that void in your heart. I just want to invite God down on this city and continue to work on all of us! I want him to continue to work in the bail bonds business and I want him to have complete control and take over so that lives can be sincerely changed. I want him to continue to search the heart of defendants and make them surrender to his will and his power so that they may know the glory that lies ahead in Christ Jesus. I ask that God restore families, and relationships in this city. I ask that God work on us for the goodness of our city and that he work all the bad things together for the better around us.
