A discretionary bench warrant is a type of warrant that a judge or court issues in cases where an individual has failed to comply with a court order, such as failing to appear in court or pay a fine.

Unlike a regular bench warrant, which is automatically issued when an individual fails to appear in court, a discretionary bench warrant is issued at the judge’s discretion.
